Our tour guide was so friendly, easy-going, knowledgeable and you can tell she really loves what she does! I'd recommend this tour for anyone looking to learn more about the natural environment surrounding the New Orleans area. It's a very easy 20 minute drive to the kayak put-in and there's just enough activity to keep teenagers interested for a few hours!

I can honestly say this was quite a unique experience. My friend and I wanted to get a tour in the Bayou and we came across Wild Louisiana. I had kayaked before, but this was a brand new experience for my friend. Our guide Max was excellent and helped her figure out how to maneuver around. We ended up being the only two on the tour which made it easier for us to ask questions about our surroundings. Max was able to answer all of our questions and provide many facts about the area. That particular day was terrific because we were able to see quite a few alligators, snakes, and even a bald eagle! As we were kayaking along Max expertly guided us along pointing out areas that may be tricky and explaining how to get past. The kayaking itself was very relaxing, even for my friend who considered herself an expert a few minutes in. You end up kayaking 3 miles over the course of 2 - 3 hours. Since it was the winter the nature wasn't as pretty as it would have been in the other seasons. None the less, Max was still able to point out hidden flowers, or trees to us and explain their importance. This trip was truly a pleasure and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something different to do. Max thank you so much for a wonderful time! "The expert" and I truly enjoyed ourselves!!

Max the tour guide was great! He knew so much about the Manchac Swamp, was super informative, and so much fun! My friend and I wanted a true bayou experience and we got that and more. The Manchac swamp is beautiful and we got up close and personal with many alligators, turtles, and snakes. I would highly recommend this tour over any of the others. We didn't feel like a tour group, it was a more personal experience. It was the high light of my entire trip to New Orleans!!!
