Our tour guide Max was friendly and knowledgeable. The van pickup was convenient and he stopped at a gas station for snacks and a restroom break before the tour began. Max shared interesting stories about the history of the area as well as details about wildlife and plants. Though it was too cold for the alligators, we didn’t mind because the cypress and Spanish moss were quite beautiful. Kayaks are nice and easy to maneuver. This trip was the perfect antidote to the frenzy of bourbon street!

I went on a kayak tour on a Manchac swamp near Nola. Pick-up was on time. Max was a fantastic and very likeable guide with a deep knowledge about the area and a good sense of humour. He shared many interesting facts about the area and you could see that he was very passionate about it. The only thing I can do is to recommend tours with this company to anyone who wants to experience the beauty of swamps without the noise of engines or affecting them with wildlife feeding or things like that. Great experience.

Max is a fantastic guide, his love and respect for the outdoors and for his homeland is evident from the very pick-up. The trip was all they promised, and the experience is much more than you would expect. just the kayaking is great, but the swamp vistas and occasional wildlife encounters make it really worth your while. All this topped up by Max's great stories and very candid explanations. He'll happily answer all your questions, and let you know when he doesn't know.

Fernando, I love that picture of the barred owl. The red in the cypress leaves really pop and bring out the brown in the owl as he makes an interesting pose. Thank you so much for the great review! Max said it was a pleasure guiding you through the swamp. We hope to see you again in the future!
