Took the kayak tour into Manchuc Swamp with Josh, what a great place. Josh was very knowledgeable of the swamp and its history. We had never been kayaking before but was easy to navigate and will do this again. Thanks to Josh and his father for a great time.

My husband and I lucked out with the weather on our kayak tour and we had a gorgeous spring day. Josh was extremely knowledgeable about the bayou, its plants, animals and history. We were a small group so it was easy to stay together and ask questions. We saw a few small alligators, turtles, birds passing through on spring migration, spring flowers blooming, and a huge eagle's nest. The kayaking itself wasn't difficult and it was nice to get away from downtown for a few hours. Highly recommend seeing this side of New Orleans!

After a couple of very busy and vibrant days of touring the city and enjoying the French Quarter festival, our kayaking tour of the Manchec Swamp was the perfect calm and soothing counterpoint - a chance to immerse and experience, for a few hours, the natural side of Louisiana. Pick up and drop off couldn't have been more convenient. The kayaks are shallow, flat-bottomed, and very stable - perfect for getting into shallow areas. Our guide Nick provided a great tour with information about the history of the area, the ecosystem, the flora and the wildlife. Warm sunny weather brought out the alligators - a highlight! Highly recommend Wild Louisiana Tours for anyone looking for an outdoor experience while visiting New Orleans.
