We were 3, including our guide and I couldn't have asked for a better tour. Small group makes it easier to see the wildlife and hear what info the guide has to give. We saw gators, turtles, lots of snakes and frogs, etc. I loved my afternoon! Un gros merci!

We paddled out into the swamp with Max as our guide. He was very personable and full of information and stories about the swamp. At one point, we stopped so we could video Max while he told us a story! I am not in the best physical shape (67 years old) but Max made sure I was not uncomfortable. He helped me in and out of the kayak, waited for me when I got behind the rest and helped me when I got stuck in the weeds. We saw an alligator, a juvenile bald eagle in his nest, numerous frogs, a snake and plenty of lovely wild flowers. Cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed this tour. It was a bonus that it was not that far from town and we were picked up and dropped off at the door to our hotel. We met Josh on the way back and he, too, could not have been friendlier. An excellent excursion that I would recommend to folks of all ages.

To e perine e a better tour. Wild Louisiana promises much more than they deliver. While our guide was personable and had probably enough knowledge, very little was learned about the swamp (which lies along I-10... traffic noise most of the trip. The kayaks were very heavy and not cared for....generally I think this tour survives because it's pretty hand for tourists but traveling further out might offer a better experience.

After taking the time to translate your lack of grammar and writing skills, I think I'll take a stab at responding to this... First off, we are not in the business of offering promises, we offer a service. A guided kayak tour in the historic Manchac swamp, which is what you received. You suggest to drive a bit further, but where do you suggest? The nearest swamp to Manchac that even comes close to offering a similar paddle is over 2 hours away. I grew up in the state of Louisiana and have paddled the majority of its waterways, I personally chose the area we go to in Manchac because it is hands down the best paddle in under an hour from New Orleans, and one of the top paddles in the entire state. Thats why it is such a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. As any trip into the wilderness, it starts near a roadway. We cross the roadway and then travel straight out and away from the road into the swamp. You are not near a highway the entire trip. In regards to our equipment, we use Jackson Kayaks, NRS life vests, and Werner paddles. All three of these companies are US made brands that are leaders in the paddlesport industry. After reading some of your other reviews it is clear that you don't take this seriously or put time into offering a true representation of your experiences with other guests.
