Take a 2–3 hour kayak and canoe swamp tour through the historic Manchac swamp. A local Louisiana naturalist guides you through the historic Manchac Swamp explaining historic information and the native ecosystem. Please note that pickup times are 9AM and 12PM, one hour before the tour begins. Please read ticket after booking.

100% recommend this if you want to experience the bayou in an immersive natural way. We chose the "adventurous" route which is definitely for those with a reasonable level of fitness when it gets thick but well worth it (tour guide Josh said he was going to clear it a bit the weekend after our tour). We saw gators, turtles/terrapins/birds/snakes/frogs/bugs everything we hoped to see and Josh was great, full of knowledge of the bayou and where to get good food too. He even dropped us close to our airbnb on the way back. 5* activity.

We had a very good experience on the tour - thanks to the efforts of our guide, Max. He was clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the bayous and swamps of the region. He was patient with my son’s friend (12 yrs) who have never kayaked before; making sure he felt comfortable before we sat out and checking on him frequently throughout the entire trip. We would definitely recommend this tour and especially our guide, Max!

Max took out myself and several friends for a Sunday morning trip. He was nice enough to wait for us when we were running a tad behind schedule and had snacks and drinks available for low prices at the start. He was very knowledgeable when it came to the surrounding foliage and wildlife and had plenty of stories to tell. Max was also friendly and helped out a younger person in another group who had some issues kayaking. To top it off, Max even recommended some restaurants and places to see in town. I would definitely recommend this trip and hope to do it again with my dad sometime. If you are in the city, I'd recommend taking advantage of the pickup services available. They are quite affordable. Thanks for an awesome trip!
