Hi Tirria, Capt. Ken likes to bring up some dad jokes on tours from time to time. We hope that you and Lauren took advantage of the sites that Chicago has to offer. Come back and see us again.

We loved this small boat/small group tour. Ken is very kind and knowledgeable about the city. He is super easy to be with. Turns out, my wife and I were the only people that booked this Friday night during perfect weather, and we were very glad that he did not cancel on us. Instead, he made it our own private tour when it was obviously less economical for him to do so. It was like having our own boat there, with a friend to tell us all about what we were seeing. Great tour! Highly recommended if you like small groups!

Thank you Preston for that fantastic review. Our cancel polices are very simple which means we will never cancel for anything unless it is a safety reason. "Chief", the boat, is only rated to carry 6 passengers. Send our regards to the former Commanding Officer of the USS Laboon.

This private boat trip was a great way to see the many buildings along the river and also view Chicago’s iconic buildings from Lake Michigan. Captain Ken was very professional and a fun, interesting guide. He shared history and stories you are not likely to hear on other guide boats. His zodiac style boat felt very safe and provided quite a fun ride whizzing around the lake. Ken’s experience with the coast guard and currently as a school teacher, make him the ideal person to lead these small boat trips. We began at a slow pace as he cruised down the river and explained its history. We went through the lock between the river and lake which was a unique experience. Then, since the water was calm and weather good, we were able to enjoy the thrills of a fast ride on the lake. He helped us get some great photos too. This would be an ideal trip for a family group or friends who enjoy a thrill along with some colorful history.

Hi Peggy, Thank you for the wonderful review. BLACKHAWK BOAT TOURS cherishes the one-on-one interactions with our passengers which creates a stronger bond with our city. One of our many goals here is so you never forget the experience.
