Our new heated (during winter), luxury pontoon aims to amp up the manatee sighting and deliver a more personal event! Observe the endangered West Indian Manatee in Crystal River’s idyllic Kings Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Your US Coast Guard licensed captains and guides will take you into the 600 acre spring fed refuge waters for viewing and snorkeling with these slow moving wild giants. All equipment, fees, snacks and beverages are included.

What To Expect

River Ventures

Embark on your journey with a Coast Guard Certified Master Captain who will be your in water chaperon, educator and photographer. Your tour will run four hours from start to finish and everything you will need is included for one price. You will begin at our full-service tour facility, where you will be educated about the animals in a classroom type setting and receive tips for your snorkel tour to make the most of your day. You will be taught the in’s and out’s of ‘passive interaction’ as this ensures that the animals enjoy the experience as much as we do! You will then be suited up and transported to the dock, where a Coast Guard certified covered pontoon will be waiting for you. This rich estuary will amaze…..birds, fish and wildlife abound! Submerge yourself in the manatee’s world! Finish your adventure by viewing your Captain’s photos back at our facility and be sure to visit our one-of-a-kind gift shop! Our well-informed staff will direct to other local attractions, restaurants and answer of your questions before you are on your way.

The best experience ever! I was with Captain Troy and Jose. They were fantastic. I traveled alone and everyone made me feel so comfortable. I highly recommend this company!

We chose this trip based on others reviews, thank you, it was the highlight of our trip to Florida. We arrived and had our briefing, got into the wet suits and down to the dock. Boarded our beautiful new looking boat, just the four of us and our skipper, captain Stark, and our guide Jose. Didn’t need to leave the dock and we’d seen our first manatee, a mother and her calf. Into the water and swam with them for half an hour, Jose directing and photographing. On to the next site, a beautiful clear spring, more manatees and more interactions. The river systems are glorious, the crew fantastic, if your looking for a company to take you on a manatee trip , you won’t find a better team. The photos that Jose took were brilliant, always knowing where to be. Beautiful boat, brilliant crew, thanks.

I can not express in words how amazing and enjoyable my mother and I's experience was. From the moment I called to book this trip I was treated so well and the moment we stepped in the door of this facility we were greeted with smiles and excitement. Jose could not have been a better tour guy, but he deserves a better name for his job!! It is not often to meet someone who loves their job as much as he does, you can tell his passion for the health of these manatees is a number one priority. Captain Stark was amazing as well!!! He helped spot the manatees and delivered a smooth sailing cruise to visit these fascinating animals. I can not wait to come back in December! Love, Jersey 💙
