We booked this tour based on reviews and recommendation from our cottage but were not sure what to expect. We had a great group of people and Greg was an awesome driver and guide. Took us to wineries we would have never found on our own. We learned a lot and had so much fun! Definitely recommend this tour

The Platypus small group tour of Sonoma wineries was outstanding. Our tour guide Michael was was extremely knowledgeable about wines having worked in the industry most of his life. We visited five smaller wineries, each with its own unique character and style. All the wines we tasted were excellent. The only drawback was that small wineries tend not to produce wines for the retail market so, if you want to get wines from this tour after the fact, you have to join their wine club. It was a blessing (unique wines you couldn't find anywhere else) and a curse (not easily attainable once you leave the winery). I also learned a lot about the wine making process, growing grapes, and tasting. I don't believe we would have been able to duplicate this tour on our own. Well worth the money.

We love having Michael on our team; I'm really glad you were so pleased by his tour! Hopefully you live somewhere condusive to wine shipping. If so, you should be able to phone up any of these small wineries to have more of their wine shipped to you. Not as convenient as bevmo though, I know... I appeciate very much your comments!

We had a wonderful time on the Sonoma group wine tour. Bob was an excellent guide. We enjoyed all the wineries & meeting other guests on the tour. It was so nice to sit back relax & enjoy Sonoma.

It's a fantastic time of year to be in Sonoma, for sure! Bob is really well-acquainted with pretty much all of the wineries in the Sonoma Valley, as well as most of the winery staff and a good many of the owners and winemakers there. Plus, he has an awesome personality, an impressive amount of local knowedge, and great storytelling skills... so he is an ideal person to lead a tour of that region. I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much, Kim; thanks for posting!
