Snorkel Tour to Captain Cook Monument Kailua-Kona, Big Island

Overview
If you are new to or have never snorkeled before this is the ideal choice! Particularly good for families with younger children or swimmers who aren’t certain if they are “seaworthy” enough for one of our longer trips.

This trip is much slower-paced and affords guests time to become more familiar and comfortable with the exciting and beautiful sport of snorkeling. Our crew will be happy to help you adjust your mask, fins, and snorkel and help you become comfortable viewing the tropical fish while using a flotation assistance device we call a “noodle”. You'll even watch for dolphins and whales along the way!

Fun snorkel trip. This was the first time I was offered a prescription mask which was awesome! The water was quite choppy so the boat ride was an adventure!

This was like a last minute decision and we found an afternoon trip with Dolphin Discoveries. Its a small boat and there were 11 people on board. We had our own snorkel gear. We had lots of fun riding this small boat with our captain from South Africa and a helper from Arizona. On the way he showed us the sacred Hawaiin site for Pele and the lava arches and some lava tubes. At Captain Cook Monument, there were too many fish to count. Just all over. Just be careful not to step onto the coral. Overall we totally enjoyed the trip, the drinks and the fresh fruit.

Loved this experience!! This was a first time snorkeling for us and Jen was a GREAT guide (very knowledgeable, helpful in making us feel comfortable in the water and in oh gear)! It was so nice that it was a small group - made it feel like a more intimate setting!
