Experience the Sonoma wine region in a unique way – on the Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley. Hop aboard this historical replica of a San Francisco cable car and grab a seat on a special wine tasting adventure you will never forget. This open-air trolley will let you experience the picturesque vineyards like no other tour. On this tour, your friendly and knowledgeable guide will take you to three wineries for tastings. You will visit Sonoma's top historic landmarks and enjoy lunch during one of the scenic stops. The tour starts at 10:00 and and ends around 4:30.

What To Expect

Sonoma Valley

Your day in California wine country starts as you hop aboard the Sonoma Wine Trolley, modeled after the famous historical cable cars of San Francisco. Enjoy the breeze as your knowledgeable tour guide whisks you off to four outstanding Sonoma-area wineries, known for both their wines and their hospitality. Each wine tasting takes place at the winery and a representatives at each winery will explain the different varietals you’ll sample and the background of the wineries (wine tasting fees are not included and you can expect fees of $30 to $40). There will be wonderful photo opportunities on this tour and your friendly guide will be happy to take a photo or two of your group so you can document your memorable day in wine country.

The Sonoma Valley Wine Trolley tour was a lot of fun, educational, and took us to some really great wineries. Paul did a fantastic job of explaining the history of Sonoma which I really appreciated. The wineries chosen had excellent wine and provided fun tours so it was more than just a tasting experience. The open air trolley was a really fun and unique way of getting around. I'd definitely recommend this tour!

Visited 4 wineries (Imagery, Benzinger, Paradise and VJB) and had a tour of the vineyard and picnic lunch at the 2nd. October was a great time to go to see the fall harvest and production in process. At Paradise, the wine tasting was paired with chocolates! Beware that the tasting fees are usually around $25 per person at each winery, so it does add up quickly. Most of them will waive the fee with purchase of bottles or wine club membership.

Had a wonderful day on the trolley. Visited beautiful wineries, tasted excellent wine, and learned a little bit about winemaking at each stop. My 83 year old mother uses a cane and our driver, Paul was so accomodating and helpful to her each time she got on and off the trolley.
