The trolley ride was not as expected. The wineries we visited charged from $25 to $35 per person just to taste what amounted to about one full glass of wine. So before we finished 4 wineries, the total out of pocket was an additional $110 per person. This should have been explained clearly about that cost before we signed up. Getting on an off the trolley was somewhat difficult for a heavy person. The first step was very high and there was no stool provided. This resulted in my spouse getting a large cut on her shin when she slipped trying to climb up into the trolley. The speaker system on the trolley did not work in the back, so we could not hear anything the driver was saying as we rode along.

Very sorry you had a challenge getting up and down the steps. I will look into the step stools.

This tour was very enjoyable and fun. Our driver Brian, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I found the Sonoma Wine Trolley more enjoyable than the Napa one. I did the Napa Wine Trolley the day prior, and found it less interesting than this one.  Yo go to 4 different wineries and get to have lunch in an actual winery, which was really nice and the food was very good. Overall, this tour was one of the best experiences I've had.

My wife and I rode the wine trolley the first day of our week in Sonoma. What a great way to kickoff the trip! Brian, our driver / tour guide, was super friendly and set a great tone from the start. He helped us learn a good bit about the area, the grapes, and of course the wine as we went vineyard to vineyard. We covered 4 wineries during the trip (BR Cohn, VJB, Mayo, and Seamus) all of which were great. Got to compare / contrast types of wine and experience some new things like port. It was definitely a full day...we left at 10:15 and got back to the drop off point at 4:45, so make sure to plan any dinner reservations accordingly. Brian let us know that they are going to be doing a few new routes in the coming year or two which we'll have to check out on our next time in the valley.
