What To Expect

South Kaibab Trail

The South Kaibab Trail is a must-hike trail in Grand Canyon National Park. It was blasted out of the Canyon's sheer walls by the National Park Service in the 1920s, and today offers a dramatic journey to amazing features like Ooh Aah Point, Cedar Ridge and Skeleton Point. On this tour our goal, which is not guaranteed as each group is unique, is Skeleton Point, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch looking down onto the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch far below us. The hike back is arduous, so be ready for a quick descent and a longer return!

Brendan was awesome as he gave us details on how the canyon was created and highlighted other interesting facts and points on the trip. The trekking poles were greatly appreciated along with the lunch and the snacks.

Wildland provided a wonderful experience from start to finish. They were responsive to e-mails about booking, and helped choose the right tour for our family. Our tour guide checked in with us prior to the tour to make sure he planned the best hike for us. Stephen, our tour guide, was so incredible! Kind, knowledgeable and extremely patient with our kids. I would highly recommend this company and look forward to using them again.

The views and the great food Janell our guide brought for us. The hike was easier than I thought it would be but the strong winds made it more complicated. Be sure to have plenty of water.
