South Kaibab Trail
The South Kaibab Trail is a must-hike trail in Grand Canyon National Park. It was blasted out of the Canyon's sheer walls by the National Park Service in the 1920s, and today offers a dramatic journey to amazing features like Ooh Aah Point, Cedar Ridge and Skeleton Point. On this tour our goal, which is not guaranteed as each group is unique, is Skeleton Point, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch looking down onto the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch far below us. The hike back is arduous, so be ready for a quick descent and a longer return!

Alex and Wildland Trekking did a wonderful job! The communication with us before the trip was perfect. The hike was the best! Alex is very knowledgeable about the canyon and shared many interesting facts with us. Packed a great lunch for us and picked the perfect spot to enjoy it. My next hike will be with Wildland!

I thought the guides (Carlos and Drew) were there just to make sure we didn't die but were pleasantly surprised when they were not only super knowledgable about the history and geology but also fun and cool people to be with for over 5 hours. They gave us support, encouragement, laughs, education and food! We said at the end of our 3 day trip the wraps they gave us for lunch was the best food we had all weekend. We would 100% recommend both. We miss them!

Our guide Alex Matter was organized, friendly, and knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon. WildLand Trekking provided plenty of pre-hike information and kept us informed right up to the day of the hike. We received a personable email with last minute instructions and reminders from our guide Alex a week and again a day prior. The Kaibab Trail is well worth the effort, giving you a true ā€œinside the Grand Canyonā€ perspective. The food was an added bonus! Would definitely use WildLand Trekking again.
