St. Augustine Ghost Tour: A Ghostly Encounter

Overview

This is a 90-minute, unscripted walking tour that will take guests deep into St. Augustine’s darker history. Professionally licensed guides share stories passed from one generation to the next about the oldest city’s strange and difficult past. Tours are multi-generational, family friendly and pet friendly. Although guests with mobility limitations will also enjoy the tour, there are some steeets that may present a problem for certain wheelchairs/motorized wheelchairs.

Tours include some history and a lot of mystery. Guides will also provide instructions on how to use ghost hunting tools (which can be rented for $5). Guests are allowed and encouraged to bring along their own ghost hunting tools as well.

Our tour begins and ends at 12 St. George St., St. Augustine Florida. Located next door to the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse.

Our tour guide, Jan was absolutely wonderful! The tour was very informative and we learned so much history of the area. What Jan offers is a true human connection. Nothing flashy or cheesy. She cares and it shows. She used our son, Liam as an example as she taught us some things at the Castillo, and even though he was pretty quiet at the time, he really loved being part of that example and talked about it afterward. It was a fun experience for our family and we were very pleased. To Jan: Thank you for sharing your heart and story with us.

Ms. Jan was personable, interacted with our kids wonderfully and gave an outstanding tour. Her stories were so detailed and easy to understand while being funny and educational. Would recommend her over and over!
