St. Augustine Ghost Tour: A Ghostly Encounter

Overview

This is a 90-minute, unscripted walking tour that will take guests deep into St. Augustine’s darker history. Professionally licensed guides share stories passed from one generation to the next about the oldest city’s strange and difficult past. Tours are multi-generational, family friendly and pet friendly. Although guests with mobility limitations will also enjoy the tour, there are some steeets that may present a problem for certain wheelchairs/motorized wheelchairs.

Tours include some history and a lot of mystery. Guides will also provide instructions on how to use ghost hunting tools (which can be rented for $5). Guests are allowed and encouraged to bring along their own ghost hunting tools as well.

Our tour begins and ends at 12 St. George St., St. Augustine Florida. Located next door to the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse.

We had a bad string of plans falling through earlier in the day and this tour was the highlight of our entire trip. Our tour guide, Jan, put so much energy into the tour and it really brightened our day. From re-enacting the hanging of Andrew Ransom to talking about the children who've died and still remain she really did keep our attention with audience participation and generally keeping a genuinely friendly banter with the tour group. Jan's own anecdotes about the lover tree and her life in general were as interesting as any of the ghosts throughout the trip. This really is a must for anyone that's looking for the full experience of Saint Augustine.

My husband was very skeptical and I insisted we go. We were very pleased that we were offered to go on an earlier tour with Reñee who was so amazing and very passionate about St.Augustines history and we even got a good pic of spirits lurking. Definitely recommend. It’s a small walk, wished we could visit more places but we still enjoyed our experience very much. Look forward to coming back to the city

It was a very informative and entertaining experience. Jan was our tour guide and was very energetic, informative, and passionate about the tour. She made sure we went at our own pace and was on top of safety of each member. Was glad she was out tour guide and would recommend.
