Don't bother. Aside from not getting Pedestal Access due to COVID (meaning this shouldn't even be an option), the lines are so short right now that there's no wait for anyone. The guide was nice enough, but a little hard to understand. He didn't really add much, and you didn't get a lot of time to explore the museum or Ellis Island. This is much better done on your own at your own pace.

Tour was excellent. Our guide Carlos was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The only negative is that we paid for pedestal access and unbeknownst to us and the tour company, the pedestal was closed. All in all, an excellent experience

We had an awesome tour guide, John. I learned a lot about the history of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (immigration). I loved that John, the tour guide, was passionate about immigration and its past, present and future impact!! While exploring the Ellis Island museum, we met the library archivist whom provided us with a lesson on the origin of how Greek names were formed in America...Truly an informative, enlightening, wonderful experience. Forgot to mention that the ferry ride to the statue and island was relaxing. Tip: When boarding the ferry, hurry and find a sit. The seats fill up fast. During the cold season, buy some cocoa on the ferry to keep you warm and a yummy cinnamon donut to soothe your sweet tooth.
