We had an awesome experience on our summer dogsledding tour with Alpine Tour from beginning to end. Our pilot, Tyler, was great! This was the highlight of our Alaska trip, will highly recommend it!

I can’t rate this tour high enough. Not only was it the highlight of our trip in Alaska but the tour company was amazing! We had a bit of unexpected medical emergency in the morning and they found a later group to switch our tour time so we still got to go. I can’t say how grateful I am for their willingness to help us out in a tough situation. And, the helicopter ride, dog sled ride, and of course - the puppies were fantastic!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm so pleased you enjoyed your experience, and that we were able to accommodate a different tour time after what was surely a challenging morning for you. Thank you for visiting us and for sharing your thoughtful comments. Christina Gerber Alpine AIr Alaska

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to experience our dog sledding tour due to bad weather. The rating isn’t because of fog—we know they can’t control that! But despite having a full extra free day we kept in case of a need to reschedule , they were too busy and couldn’t accommodate us. I wish they had been clearer about this in the advertising, because it sounded like there would be more flexibility given how unpredictable weather here can be. We would’ve organized our trip differently to give ourselves more days for rescheduling if we knew this, so if you have your heart set on dog sledding, give yourselves more than one extra day for rescheduling options!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I regret that we did not meet your expectations, and I share your disappointment that we were unable to operate your tour due to weather, and did not have room to reschedule your tour during your remaining days in Girdwood. Your patience with this is greatly appreciated, and I assure you that this is not the norm. Weather in Alaska can be unpredictable and on occasion, clouds move in last minute and we have to cancel the flight at short notice. When this happens we offer our guests the option to reschedule for another time/day, switch to a flightseeing tour when/where weather is better, or receive a full refund. We are usually able to satisfy everyone, but your case was an obvious exception. The state is seeing a record number of summer visitors, and everyone from restaurants to rental car companies and hotels are pushed to capacity. We are among many small tour operators who have received a dramatic increase in bookings this season, and when Mother Nature sends us multiple weather days in a row that require rebooking guests as was this case, we simply couldn’t accommodate rebooking every single person while still providing an environment that is safe and fair for the dogs. Our team works hard to provide an exceptional experience for our guests. We are proud of the tours we offer and the safety first culture that is the foundation of our business. I hope that if given the opportunity, you'll give us another shot. You are welcome to reach out to me directly at [email protected]. Christina Gerber Alpine Air Alaska
