What an exhilarating excursion! The trip starts with an amazing ground crew that gets each guest suited up for a sledding experience on a glacier then gets them on board a helicopter for a quick trip to the base camp where the dogs are waiting. The mushers introduce themselves and then they introduce the dogs, which are all wonderfully excited to see you. But the dogs get even more excited as the mushers begin hooking them up to the sleds for the trip. Standing on the sled being pulled around the glacier is one of those moments people can only imagine. The whole experience is so enjoyable as the crew has taken care of everything so all you have to do is enjoy yourself and try to take in all the beauty. I have to give a special shout out to the owner Deb and her crew members Glenda and Alex for working so hard to make our trip happen. They got us from Seward to Girding Alaska so we could top off our Alaska vacation with the wonderful experience of a life time - a helicopter flight to a dogsledding trip on a glacier. Thanks for much for making it happen. I recommend, you contact Alpine Air Alaska, and have them help make a memory that will last a lifetime.

This summer glacier dog sledding was one of the best things we all have ever done. It was so much fun. The helicopter ride to the glacier was smooth and beautiful! All of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The dogs were so excited to go, it was adorable. And, we got to hold baby husky puppies! I definitely recommend it!

This was my first visit to Alaska, and Alpine Air out of Girdwood, AK gave me the experience of a lifetime on the Glacier Dogsledding Tour! The helicopter pilots, office staff and the dog handlers took great care to answer questions & offered suggestions to enhance our experience. We were encouraged to interact with the dogs and saw first hand how happy these dogs are to run and to give us the ride of a lifetime! I highly recommend this tour and experience the Pure Joy of Alaska! Miss Kim
