What To Expect

Grand Teton National Park

We offer Grand Teton and Yellowstone tours.Uncover the best wildlife hotspots of Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National park with a knowledgeable and experienced guide at EcoTour Adventures. We will hit the back roads of Jackson Hole to escape the crowds and seek out our favorite hotspots for uninterrupted observation of seasonally available wildlife, including moose, elk, bison, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, bighorn sheep, wolves, black bears, grizzly bears, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans.

Kelsey was our guide for the sunrise tour and was accommodating, knowledgeable, and fun to be around for our entire trip! We managed to see elk, bison, antelope, and moose on our trip and Kelsey showed us a spot we were able to circle back to see a grizzly bear. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to get the most out of their trip.

First, kudos to EcoTour bosses. Though the weather resulted in cancellations, the bosses opted to keep all their tour guides busy with smaller tour groups. I love supporting a business that is concerned about their employees as well as their customers. This decision was a bonus for my sister and I because we had a personal Sunrise tour. Our guide, Verlin, excellently communicated the history, geology and zoology of the region. He peppered the tour with stories. He always was looking out for us and wanted to make sure we received many opportunities to see as much as possible. Due to a vehicle issue, he notified us he would be arriving a few minutes late to pick us up. He made sure our specific desires were met as much as he was in control of. Verlin is passionate about this area and often scouts it on his days off then is excited to share something he saw with his tour even if this means taken a less-traveled road. For us, that meant we got to see a mama bear and her cubs feeding on a carcass. The scopes and binoculars are top notch and allowed us much better viewing of these animals. Not that you are going for the snacks provided, but I appreciated the quality of local french press coffee, muffins and granola bars. Another sign of a quality company. I would go on other tours with this company. My only "complaint" was if the bison or moose were not cooperating, Verlin would apologize multiple times. :) Quality, passionate, knowledgeable experience. Please repeat :)

My husband and I (plus 23-month old daughter) came to Jackson for a long weekend and we really wanted to make sure we got the most out of our trip so the first thing planned was a sunrise tour! I am SO glad got up early to do this not only to beat the crowds but it's also optimal timing to view wildlife. Our guide, Kirk, was very knowledgable about the park, spotted all sorts of animals, some we probably would have just driven right by, it was awesome. We covered a lot of land, learned a lot, and was able to really focus on the beautiful landscape. Plus, I think we now have our xmas card photo for this year. The tour was able to provide a car seat, that was helpful, and we were done by 11:00am and finished right in the square which was great to walk around and grab lunch. Taking the tour was a highlight from the weekend, and did a few hikes also recommended by our guide over the course of the weekend. Would definitely do it again!
