Surfing - Group Lesson - Waikiki, Oahu

Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

The surf instructors at Hans Hederman are amazing. Our family of 6 throughly enjoyed the lesson. The instructors spent time to go over the how to's on shore (which of course is essential) allowing each individual to practice the techniques prior to going into the water. Once in the water the instructors helped them to get up directing them what to do each step of the way. The instructors were down to earth, patient, and kind we truly enjoyed meeting them and hearing their stories! Definitely recommend to families and individuals of all ages.

Charlie was great. He was helpful and tried hard to get us up on waves! There were tons of sea turtles, too. Great experience overall!

My 15 yr old son and I had a surf lesson with Hetti (sp?) at turtle bay resort and had the best experience. I thought I would end up sitting and watching my son surf but he had both of us catching wave after wave. He gave great tips on how to balance on the board which made a huge difference in our success. Highlight of our Hawaii trip hands down! Thank you!
