Surfing - Group Lesson - Waikiki, Oahu

Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

Absolutely great teachers here. Patient and thorough. Scotty was our instructor. A+++ Highly recommend this school to any beginner (or intermediate) surfer. I'd been before and my wife was going just for the first time and yet we both came away having learned a ton for our skill level. Scotty was awesome.

If you get a chance to take a Hans Hedemann Surf Lesson, DO IT!! I took my family and we had a blast. The waves were pretty small, but Duke, our instructor, was so good. He got everyone up and on a wave. We walked away with nothing but great memories.

Visiting Hawaii, learning to surf was on the to-do list for our teens. Bobby at Hans Hedemann Surf School at turtle bay resort was great. My 16 year old son and 13 year old daughter were up on their first wave and so it continued for the full 2hours!! We booked a semi-private lesson which worked really well for them and we could watch nearby with a great view. The cd and hat and tshirt were an added bonus, we highly recommend this activity, and feel it was well worth the money. We have ample opportunity to do this in Aust but the surf there is always so daunting, they love the fact they can say they've surfed the north shore of Hawaii!!
