Surfing - Group Lesson - Waikiki, Oahu

Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

Everyone who visits Hawaii should take a Surfing lesson. The best surf school on Oahu is Hans Hedemann Surf School. Whether you are staying in Waikiki or on the North Shore taking a surf lesson should be on your list of things to do while visiting Hawaii alone or with your family. My instructor was Seth Elmer and he was fabulous! Everyone at Hans Hedemann Surf School was super friendly and full of Aloha! Surfs up! And u are never to old to learn how to surf! Definitely paddle out while visiting Hawaii.

I really enjoyed my surfing lesson! I didn't think I'd be able to actually stand up, but the instructors help you out so much (pick out your wave, give you a push, tell you when to stand up) that I was able to do it. They take pictures for you, which turned out great. This was a highlight of my trip to Oahu!

I booked a family lesson for my husband, 9 year old son and me. I cannot say enough good things about the experience. The waves were perfect for beginners like us, and our instructors, Gabe and Bruno, were exceptional. Gabe stayed with my son for the whole lesson and ensured he caught a lot of great waves and had a blast. And Bruno made sure two 50+ year olds felt like surfers for the day. It was one of our highlights of the vacation. My son was very sad to leave Turtle Bay and his new friend, Gabe. Many thanks Bruno, Gabe and Hans Hedemann Surf School for a great day.
