Surfing - Group Lesson - Waikiki, Oahu

Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

I went solo on this collective surf lesson and absolutely loved it! Pete and Kalei were amazing and very supportive instructors. I would recommend to add the photo/ video package (around 60$) as it will record your grand debuts in surfing in Hawai’i. I met nice new people there. The training spot is pretty shallow (waist deep), very reassuring for people afraid of open waters. The key is to go to have fun with the sea and the waves, and if you apply your instructors advices, you’ll surf in no time!

This experience was overall incredibly fun and exciting. I’ve never surfed in my life before but despite this the guides were very helpful and informative. I would recommend this to anyone traveling in the area!
