Surfing - Group Lesson - Waikiki, Oahu

Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

I took a group lesson and although the group was a bit too big (9 people) it was still great fun and I really enjoyed myself and it was relatively cheap Toby and the guys are good fun and helped me catch my first Hawaiian wave

We booked a semi training,but our surf teacher did it the first time and was around the age of 16. Pretty fast we knew that there were no surf lesson experiences. A real quick explanation what to do on board at the beginning and in the water no further suggestions or tips how to do it better. also no energy to nudge the board in the water. I think the whole crew was at that day understaffed.At school it started really unorganized and also at the beach it was unorganized. At the same time of our training there were the big group and other semi groups,but we always felt we were part of the big group and didn't have a semi lesson. The area where you learn to surf horrible for beginners. Everywhere cliffs in the water. you're scared to fall off the board and to fell on the cliffs.It was way to expensive,because we payed much more for the semi training than the big group participants and like I said it felt like we were part of the big group. and the surf teachers of the big groups didn't even noticed which participants were in their group.I wouldn't recommend this surf school.

If you've ever been nervous about surfing, don't be. This is the place for you. Will was our primary instructor and he was incredible. Everyone in the lesson had different needs and he was great at helping everyone. Adam assisted with our group and was incredible as well. Will helped me learn about wave timing so that in only my 3rd time surfing, I was able to catch several waves all on my own - no push, and no picking the waves out for me. Don't miss out on surfing. No matter your skill or fitness level, these guys have you covered. You will not regret it!
