Surfing - Group Lesson - Waikiki, Oahu

Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

Worked with very good instructors. The surfing conditions were perfect and Waikiki Beach. The waves were not too big. Just right for the beginning.

Our coach was a bit green which is ok but he pushed my friend into a local surfer. It was her first time, while she enjoyed surfing, she didn’t enjoy that part of the experience. The local surfer got very upset and blocked our path so I wasn’t able to catch any waves. Our instructor insisted on continuing to push us into her. I was disappointed that I spent so much money and didn’t get to ride. I wish that he could’ve apologized and asked her to move rather than just continuing to escalate the situation. 😔
