Surfing - Group Lesson - Waikiki, Oahu

Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

My friend and I had the best time with our surf guide, James Hoekstra. I believe our surfing experience was the highlight of our trip. I did the lessons mostly for my friend and seeing her so excited to get up on that board was just as exciting for me. Jimmi was so patient with us which made our experience so much more enjoyable. Don’t forget to get the videos and photos (the drone videos were incredible). All of the staff at the Hans Hedemann surf school are super nice and friendly. They welcomed us from the moment we set foot in that store. Thank you again for this one memorable experience we will forever cherish!!
