Surfing - Group Lesson - Waikiki, Oahu

Overview

Learn to surf on this 2-hour group lesson on Oahu. Join a group of students and discover how to ride the waves like some of the Island's most famous celebrities with the help of a certified, professional instructor. We have small student to instructor ratio of 1 instructor for every 3-4 students. Waikiki Surf Lesson starts a 10 minute safety slide show inside our surf shop, followed by heading to the beach and practicing on the sand for another 10 minutes. In our 20 year experience, we know that surfing is muscle memory, so when first timers master their surf stance then they tend to get up on their very first wave.

I took the class in July of 2022. HHSSW helped me cross off a bucket list item - surfing in Waikiki! It was one of the best days of my life and the instructors were awesome. Yeah, I fell a lot but I did get up and ride some waves and that was the goal!

My instructor was friendly and made it fun. He was able to help us by what each person's comfort level was. I was able to stand on my board my first try. By the end of the lesson I felt I could go out by myself and be safe on the small waves.
