Overview

Eco Endeavors can accommodate up to 12 guests on an Adventure based Eco-Tour through The Ten Thousand Islands of south Florida on our custom built, United States Coast Guard Inspected vessel. Throughout the duration of this 3 hour trip, guests will have the opportunity to see abundant wildlife up close such as dolphin, manatee and several species of birds. We will also stop at an isolated barrier island only accessible by boat to search for rare shells, swim or snorkel. We also offer Private tours for small or large groups directly on our website at EcoEndeavors.org.

Due to Hurricane Ian the precautionary advisory issued by DOH officials we have made some temporary changes to the tour: We will pull the boat directly onto the beach so you will not have to enter the water. Being able to successfully navigate 3 steps is required to enter and exit the boat. We DO NOT recommend swimming while on the barrier islands at this time. We DO recommend wearing beach shoes while on the barrier islands. Although not required, we are taking these precautions as safety is always our priority.

Captain Dave did a great job taking us on this tour. He is knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area as well as the history of several of the sights. Use the bathroom before taking the 3 hour tour, or you will have to get creative. :) I highly recommend the 3:00 tour. We went out and watched the sunset before returning to the shore. We were also welcomed back by a pod of very active dolphins.

Everything was perfect with Eco Endeavors. Staff was very friendly, captain did an excellent job by educating his guests about the animals in and above water and picked the right spots for this tour. Boat was clean and we felt very safe the whole time. This tour was a once in a lifetime experience and the highlight of our vacation, and we can unconditionally recommend it to everyone.

My aunt and I had a wonderful time exploring the 10,000 Islands with Captain Dave. He is very knowledgeable about the area, it’s history and the wildlife. Picture perfect day to be out on the water. We visited the Dome Houses on Cape Romano and then headed to a quiet beach for a nice stroll and shelling. Captain Dave searched the area for dolphins and we came upon a few but not many. Highly recommend this tour!!
