We've done a few city helicopter trips and were really looking forward to this one in New York.
We arrived at the pre-agreed time; however, no one was there. Eventually someone arrived and said that as it was raining, all flights were cancelled (why did they not email or phone us to advise?). They re-booked us for the following day.
The whole process is extremely impersonal and was a 'sausage machine'; simply pushing people through. No enthusiasm or flair/hospitality of any kind. Not even a cup of coffee. We find that we need to pay US$5 to use a locker, to store my wife's handbag, which is not permitted on the helicopter - there is probably some small print somewhere that tells you this.
Flight was good - but they really managed to make an amazing experience dull and no different to queuing to use the WC at an airport.
The same building was used for the other 2 helicopter operators; they all looked the same; seems to be the market stitched up - OR an opportunity for a new operator, who can provide some customer service
