What To Expect

The Official Art Deco Gift Shop

Founded in 1976, The Miami Design Preservation League has proudly offered guided walking tours of The Art Deco District for over 40 years. All Proceeds go towards supporting preservation. Visitors are introduced to the history, architecture, and preservation efforts of Miami Beach. Tour ticket includes free admission to the Art Deco Museum and Gift Shop. There are a limited amount of tickets available for each tour, so early bookings are encouraged . Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure for check-in.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

The Art Deco area of Miami is well worth visiting. Our tour guide, Ken, was excellent- he knew loads about the area and was very invested in it. His depth of knowledge was great and he tailors the tour depending on how large it is on a given day. He has interesting handouts to show buildings and scenes of the past and knows lots of trivia. He also passed out further information for streets we had not had time to see so that we could do a self-guided tours of those areas. We went on a morning tour, then had lunch, took a walk on the beach and had dinner in the Lincoln Road mall area. It is good to stay in the area until the evening as all of the buildings light up at night.

90 minutes of a really fun and informative tour. The guides know their stuff - my husband and I just took this tour last weekend, and we really felt we learned a ton about the architecture and the city and have a better appreciation of the buildings. This tour is run by a non-profit, in existence solely to keep the Art Deco history in Miami Beach alive. Our guide was so dedicated, he even took us back to some hotels after the tour was over to give us a more in-depth history. Highly recommend it.

We had a very knowledgeable guide who was able to provide us with a great deal of information regarding art deco and the history of Miami Beach. Had expected more walking than we did. Tour guide was had a mic and was amplified which made her easy to hear. The guide did ask for tips at the end of the tour. She also stayed after to answer any questions we had when the tour ended.
