The Real Hollywood Walking Tour

Overview

On our Hollywood tour we go back in time to when the name first appeared on maps in the 1880’s, then we’ll tell you how and why the start-up movie industry first moved to this small farming town in the early twentieth century.

By walking the streets of Hollywood you’ll get the chance to discover the many hidden historic sites in the area (such as the oldest house in Hollywood, where Charlie Chaplin’s kids went to school), as well offering you the best up close and personal experiences of such icons as the Walk of Fame, the Capitol Records Building, the Egyptian Theater, the Dolby Theater (the home of the Oscars) and the TCL Chinese Theater where your Hollywood tour ends, in the perfect place to get lunch or get some great shots of the Hollywood Sign for Instagram.

Wonderful walking tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable. The early morning tour was perfect as the streets were not crowded yet. Learned so much history of Hollywood and loved the hidden sights we would have missed just touring on our own. Highly recommend.

I love walking tours and I was looking forward to picking up some Hollywood trivia but I had concerns my family would be bored--NOT THE CASE. My twelve year old that cares nothing about stuff like this was enthralled by Vicky (our guide) and everything was super interesting. Despite being a walking tour it isn't bad at all and I have absolutely no regrets.

I booked this tour for my group of girl friends! We have all lived in LA for many years, visited hollywood many times. Yet, we didn't know anything about the history and beginnings of Hollywood. This tour definitely beat our expectations. Our tour guide, Vicky, was very knowledgeable and enthralled us with intriguing anecdotes and fun facts. I will recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hollywood boulevard as your experience is incomplete without the context that this tour provides.
