Upon arriving at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, take time to admire the stunning, shimmering Swarovski chandelier on your way to the exhibits of Rockefeller Center’s historic construction during the Great Depression. Ascend to the Top in less than 1 minute with a ride up 850 feet (260 m) on the Sky Shuttle.

Explore 3 floors with expansive, unobstructed indoor and outdoor viewing areas. The breathtaking views stretch for miles in every direction! You'll feel like you are floating above Central Park as you take in views of New York's most famous landmarks including the Empire State Building, Central Park, the Chrysler Building, One World Trade Center, and the Statue of Liberty. Top off your visit on the 70th floor, a completely open-air deck!

Loved this experience. I was really glad that I just happened to somewhere, somehow read that you had to go beforehand to get a timed entry ticket. Just buying a ticket on-line is just acknowledging that you want to do this activity. You must also take another step to get a ticket for a time to enter. Note that there are various types of tickets available depending on what you want to pay. As far as lining up for the entrance, we waited until our timed entry and then another 20 minutes in line on a Friday evening for sunset. We only had general admission tickets.

As part of the visit in New York, we wanted to go and visit one of the observation desks. We chose TOTR. Pricewise, it was what we expected. It wasnt overly crowded, something you would probably expect, although we went away at end of October. The overall experience - i was pleasantly surprised, enjoyed it throughout. I would stay longer if i could but we were a bit short of time as tried to do and see as many things in New York within one long day. Definitely recommending though.

The observation deck on the Top of the Rock is great! There are a couple different levels and great views all around! Having also been to the Empire State building, I did enjoy Top of the Rock just as much! Each are different views, so they aren't the same, but if I had to pick only one, I would go with the Top of the Rock because of the view of Central Park.
