We've always had a passion for donuts, but only recently did we realize just how many others do too. And when looking around, we didn't see anything that truly celebrated donuts in all their glory, hence the Underground Donut Tour was born. This tour is for anyone who truly enjoys donuts. At each location, you'll be able to try a curated sample or samples of that location's best donuts. Many locations offer vegan, gluten or nut free options, however, please make sure to let us know ahead of the tour, so we can make sure to highlight those specifically for you. Our tours include such favorites as Do-Rite Donuts, Firecakes, Stans, and Doughnut Vault.

What To Expect

The Loop

The Underground Donut Tour takes place over two hours. We'll visit four of the best donut stores in the city. All of them are located in the Chicago Loop area and we'll try a few donuts from each location. Donuts are included in the cost of the tour. You'll also have the option to purchase additional donuts if you wish.

Walking tour in winter...heck yes, don’t miss out. Jeff took us on a walk through the city visiting 4 donut shops with tastings at each. Plus most had $1 coffee. The fresh squeezed OJ at Firecakes was so good. Every donut was more delicious then the last. Jeff pointed out interesting items and places along the way and he certainly knows his donuts. Fun and yummy activity for all. This is a must if visiting Chicago. Remember to dress for the weather.

Great experience, would highly recommend! My friend and I went for our birthdays and Ricky made our tour amazing! It felt like we were walking around with a friend. He was so funny and knowledgeable about the donut shops, so that was a huge plus too! Even though one of the donut shops on our tour was closed, the tour was excellent and Ricky even got us a special birthday donut at Firecakes. It was a unique experience we would book again!
