Shaun, our driver, was knowledgeable, full of stories and a lot of fun. The bus we rode in was comfortable. Sound system superb - we could hear! Loved seeing two day old foals and their beautiful mothers. The yearling barn had lots of horses to see - my favorite was Lemon Tuxedo even tho she wasnā€™t a yearling. Hill ā€˜N Dale Farm was a truly beautiful facility. We saw Curlin - one gorgeous stallion (not up close). Best was the foal. Itā€™s a fun trip!

If you are wondering which tour operator to choose, choose Unique. Our tour operator was Mr. Shaun Washington, tour operator and thoroughbred expert extraordinaire!!! Amazing man with encyclopedic knowledge of the Kentucky thoroughbred scene. He will tell you stories till your ears fall off...funny stories, stories about huge failures and huge successes on the track. He seems to know every horse in the area and every farm. My wife and I were somewhat ā€œhorsed-outā€ by our 4th day in Lexington and had seen lots of farms but Shaun showed us stuff that was still amazing and fun. AND ENTERTAINING. YOU CANNOT DO BETTER THAN SHAUN.

Spent a great afternoon visiting varying types of equine locations (thoroughbred farms, horse rescue, equine hospital). The tour exceeded our expectations and we really enjoyed ourselves. Shaun had an encyclopedic knowledge which he delivered with infectious enthusiasm - a true gentleman. He genuinely loved and encouraged questions. We loved the close contact with the animals and were thrilled to see the day-old foal.
