Unique Horse Farm Tours with Shawn, the human horse racing encyclopedia, made sure everyone enjoyed the tour - even with the cold rainy day! We saw 4 farms in total, petted horses, saw many foals and even learned a great deal about horse racing. We had novices, like us, and several racing enthusiasts on our bus, and I think everyone was quite pleased. Shawn is the real thing having over 30 years experience in the sport. He knows it all!! The only recommendation I would have, is that he get some repairs done on his tour bus. watch out for that second step - someone's foot is going through soon!

Shaun Washington is a terrific tour guide!!! He knows a lot of people in the industry,including owners, trainers, jockeys, and even the equine vetinarians in the area!! Shaun has been around the horse race business his entire life, and really knows his stuff! On today's tour we visited 4 horse farms. We met some very valuable racehorses and their foals, and we were able to feed and pet some yearlings. We took some incredible photos of horses running in the pasture, and pictures with the horses in the stables. Each tour is slightly different, depending on what's happening at the farms on that particular day. At the end of our morning tour we visited a vet clinic to view a horse getting an arthroscopic knee surgery! Very cool, behind-the-scenes stuff!!!
