We went to several horse farms and got to see so many gorgeous horses. We saw foals that were just born and so energetic and actively galloping around the fields. There were only a handful of people on the tour (7) and it made it easy to ask questions and for all to be able to get a chance to get up close and pet the animals. Sean, the tour guide, was so knowledgeable and friendly that the time just flew by! We ended the tour with brunch at the Stockyard grill. What a great place to eat, soak up some local flavor and enjoy some good food and conversations with other tour-goers. We will def. go back for another tour in spring when all is in bloom. If you are looking for something to do in Lexington, this is a great way to spend a few hours.

I recently had a tour with Mr. Sean Washington on the Bluegrass Horse Farm Tour. It was a fantastic experience. Mr. Washington is a lovely human being, and he made me feel comfortable from the very start. We were able to see fantastic farms and amazing horses, everyone we encountered was friendly and familiar with Mr. Washington. His bus was clean and comfortable and the tour was just the right length. He knew many of the horses by name - it was like visiting family for him and he was sharing it with me. I highly recommend this tour - it's a warm, personal experience that I feel fortunate to have had.

If you want to tour horse farms in the Lexington area, Shaun Washington is your man. He's a master storyteller, knows the horses and the farms, and gets you up close and personal with them. We had a great time, learned a lot, visited a barnful of babies and their moms, petted mothers and foals in the field.......all of it accompanied by Shaun's knowledgeable, entertaining narratives.
