When I contacted Shawn to ask him about this tour, he gave me his cell number and told me to text him with any questions, etc. That was just the beginning of the personal service. It was just our family of four on the tour, so it felt like a private tour. We started off the day at Keeneland, where we watched some of the morning workouts from right at the rail, and then got to see and pet and feed peppermints to some of the young racehorses back at the stable. As we were moving on to the next stop, we passed by a farm owned and managed by some folks that Shawn knew, and he asked if we minded if he stopped in there because they were remodeling and he would like to see what they were doing. Of course, this was fine by us, who doesn't want to see stuff that's not usually on the tour? This place, I think, does a lot of rescues. They had quarter horses that they bred, but they also had rescued draft horses and various other breeds. I got to help bring in some Percherons from the field, and we all got to feed the big guys a bunch of cookies. From there we went to KatieRich, where we saw some beautiful babies and broodmares. Just think, one day one of those babies might be the next Triple Crown winner! All day Shawn kept us entertained with trivia and anecdotes, and we all enjoyed our time with him very much.

Driver and guide Sean both courteous and punctual. Tour interesting, surprised we were able to visit several farms worth millions. Sean knowledge and in no hurry. This tour recommended. No reflection on the tour, to bad what once was a business is now a rich mans hobby.

Shawn was absolutely wonderful! To be able to see these horses up close and personal made our trip. Shawn's knowledge of Kentucky, horses and horse racing doesn't compare to his kindness and warm demeanor. We will definitely be back and will only tour with him. If you are coming to Lexington you have to call Shawn...you won't regret it!
