After I got to the horse park, I was almost regretting having booked and paid for the tickets, and had I not done so, I probably would not have ended up going on the tour. But, when my group got over to the bus stop, the people coming off from the tour before us were all happy and smiling, so I was greatly encouraged by that and much more optimistic about taking the time to go. I wasn't sure what I was expecting---probably some bland, boring tour where you didn't do much more than walk around a couple of expensive barns and drool over the amenities. Boy, was I wrong!!! Shawn was amazing! He was the perfect tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about each farm's history, owners, and also thoroughbred bloodlines. I think everyone on the bus had a fun time, and learned & laughed a lot. We got to pet a lot of babies and mamas--from a couple-days old foals to $2 million yearlings. I would definitely go again!

Sean, our tour guide, was absolutely the best. His knowledge and expertise of the KY horse farms was tremendous. Our tour was spectacular and Sean took us behind the scenes on properties no one else can explore. We took photos, toured the barns, met the grooms, spent time with the foals and went to the number one breeding room on a beautiful farm. Worth every penny.

I seriously can NOT say enough wonderful things about our guide Shawn Washington..it was so much fun to listen to all his stories and the wealth of knowledge he has for these farms and horses is truly amazing!! We learned so much and loved every second of it. It was so much fun to getting to see and pet all the babies! We did a 10 day trip through Louisville, the Smokies and Nashville and this was EASILY hands down my favorite thing we did. I've been telling everyone to pack their bags and add Lexington to their next vacation just to go take this tour with Shawn..WE LOVED IT!!
