Overview

Start your tour with a pick up from your hotel location with one of Alaska's top rated guides. First experience one of Alaska’s most breathtaking drives down the Seward Hwy and Turnagain Arm with a few sightseeing stops at Beluga Point and Bird Point. We will then arrive in the Portage Valley making stops at Explorer Glacier, Middle Glacier and boarding the M/V Ptarmigan for an hour long cruise on Portage Lake viewing multiple surrounding glaciers and majestic landscapes with the main focus on Portage Glacier. We will make an optional lunch stop after the cruise and before heading to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Once we arrive at the Wildlife Center you will be guided through the 200 acre facility where you're guaranteed to see Alaska’s land mammals in their natural habitats and much more! We will then take the drive back and make one last stop at Falls Creek before your drop off at your desired destination in Anchorage.

What To Expect

Beluga Point

We will make a stop at Beluga Point with spectacular views of the Cook inlet and Turnagain Arm and use this stop as a great photo opportunity and chance to see wildlife in and out of the water!

Portage Glacier

We will arrive in the Portage Valley making stops at Explorer Glacier, Middle Glacier, Byron Glacier and boarding the M/V Ptarmigan for an hour long cruise on Portage Lake viewing multiple surrounding glaciers and majestic landscapes with the main focus on Portage Glacier getting within a couple hundreds yards of the face of the glacier!

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

Once we arrive at the Wildlife Center you will be guided through the 200 acre facility where you're guaranteed to see Alaska’s land mammals in their natural habitats! (Bears, Moose, Wolves, Elk, Deer, Eagles, and much more!

This tour cancelled on me two days in a row. Very disappointed. Other tours are still going to the same places so I doubt weather was the cause.

Hello, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience of our cancellations for your tour! We understand your frustration. Unfortunately, the weather changes rapidly throughout the day and our particular time slot for the glacier cruise had been cancelled on both days. The boat may have still gone out at other time slots that day, weather permitting. Our decision to cancel our tours is not taken lightly - we do our best to ensure that both safety and enjoyment of the overall experience for our guests is met with 100% satisfaction, and ultimately decided the weather conditions were not in favor of that. We will always try to accommodate with alternative dates and times, and are sorry that we could not make it work during your trip. Best regards, Jeremy

It's an awesome experienced! Our tour was very nice, comfortable van , the guide was on time of picking us at the hotel . The scenic drive along Turnagain inlet and also you can see Chugach Mountain range is spectacular. I also enjoy visiting the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center .

Great tour! I did not want to drive the Seward hwy to see the glacier. Our tour guide was awesome! I would recommend to anyone!
