Overview

Start your tour with a pick up from your hotel location with one of Alaska's top rated guides. First experience one of Alaska’s most breathtaking drives down the Seward Hwy and Turnagain Arm with a few sightseeing stops at Beluga Point and Bird Point. We will then arrive in the Portage Valley making stops at Explorer Glacier, Middle Glacier and boarding the M/V Ptarmigan for an hour long cruise on Portage Lake viewing multiple surrounding glaciers and majestic landscapes with the main focus on Portage Glacier. We will make an optional lunch stop after the cruise and before heading to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Once we arrive at the Wildlife Center you will be guided through the 200 acre facility where you're guaranteed to see Alaska’s land mammals in their natural habitats and much more! We will then take the drive back and make one last stop at Falls Creek before your drop off at your desired destination in Anchorage.

What To Expect

Beluga Point

We will make a stop at Beluga Point with spectacular views of the Cook inlet and Turnagain Arm and use this stop as a great photo opportunity and chance to see wildlife in and out of the water!

Portage Glacier

We will arrive in the Portage Valley making stops at Explorer Glacier, Middle Glacier, Byron Glacier and boarding the M/V Ptarmigan for an hour long cruise on Portage Lake viewing multiple surrounding glaciers and majestic landscapes with the main focus on Portage Glacier getting within a couple hundreds yards of the face of the glacier!

Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center

Once we arrive at the Wildlife Center you will be guided through the 200 acre facility where you're guaranteed to see Alaska’s land mammals in their natural habitats! (Bears, Moose, Wolves, Elk, Deer, Eagles, and much more!

Host Jeremy was awesome! He got to know all of the guests, and told some good stories along the way. Extremely receptive to the needs of passengers. Highly recommend this tour!

Jeremy was fantastic. So friendly and accommodating. The Wildlife Tour and the Portage Glacier Cruise were fun and informative. We had a great group in our van and made a few stops that weren't on the schedule. We even saw the Bore Tide with 2 surfers riding it!! Great day from start to finish. I highly recommend it!

I booked this tour as a last minute jaunt to see some of Alaska while I was in town for work. The tour guide Jeremy was an amazing guide and made everyone in the group feel super welcome. He was very accommodating with hotel pickups and helped those of us with special mobility needs (I’m an amputee and there was an elderly couple). For example, at the wilderness lodge where there is a very long walking trail, he drove those of us who had difficulty walking directly to the animals. I love that the tour company is locally owned and his wife is also native indigenous Alaskan. Great experience and value for your money! Highly recommended!!
