Due to updated Coast Guard requirements, all guests and crew must wear masks while in enclosed spaces aboard all our vessels which include Atlantis Submarines. Atlantis Adventures will no longer require guests to show proof of vaccinations or negative Covid-19 tests at the time of check-in.

What To Expect

Atlantis Submarines Waikiki

The Atlantis submarine Hawaii adventure begins with a short (approximately 10 minutes) shuttle ride out to the submarine boarding site. Descending below, your time underwater on the Oahu submarine tour is around 45 minutes. Returning to the world above, your shuttle is waiting to return you to land. The Oahu submarine tour dive site is home to many Hawaiian fish, coral and turtles. On this truly eye-opening experience, you'll visit sunken ships, airplanes and other artificial reefs. The submarine has a spacious air-conditioned interior, large view ports and comfortable seating. If you haven't taken a trip to the bottom of the ocean before, the Atlantis Submarine Oahu Adventure is a "must do" for the whole family during your visit to Hawaii. Check out the world's largest hi-tech 64-passenger submarine offers an enhanced amount of personal space and large viewports only available to Premium Tour passengers.

Our party was 3 adults and 2 children, 4 & 6 years old on the 2 PM Premium sub tour. This was our final excursion in Hawaii before heading to the airport to go home. Self-parking was in the Hilton Village, and the tour company does not validate for free parking. You can pay them $10 to validate a ticket for four hours, but, it wasn't worth it for us. Arriving at the dock, there is a photographer to take a souvenir picture for sale at the end of tour. The boat ride to the sub was pleasant ten minute ride, provided an opportunity to use bathrooms and buy snacks and souvenirs. From the boat, the transfer to the sub was VERY easy. I am 65+ with bad knees, and could easily navigate the ladder. The sub ride itself is amazing, so much to see. Each trip is different, but our tour saw LOTS of dolphins, two moray eels, a few puffer fish, one white tip shark, and lots of reef fish. The group before us saw an octopus. We were on the premium tour and the windows were wide enough for the children to see well. Seats are not cushioned and the tempertaure was pleasant, but not cool The commentary was mostly clever, and the crew made an effort to let each side see all of the best the sea had to offer.

Was able to see sharks, turtles, manta rays, variety of fish, however, they aren’t too organized. The staff selling the tickets talked among themselves and weren’t attentive to customers. Allow yourself time to find the location as the address location and directions they provide are not quite clear or accurate.

We all had a great time on this tour. The kids loved seeing sharks and turtles and the whole experience. It was a well run professional operation and we all felt safe and loved the trip.
