This was my first experience Kayaking
If you not comfortable and confident being in the water, this may not be for you. The river is 30 feet deep without shoreline to walk up to. You are provided a floatation vest. If you've never done any Kayaking before, it would be helpful, before hand, to look up videos on "how to flip a kayak back over". With that being said, the kayaks are pretty stable in the water. You'd have to do a lot to actually flip it.
The hiking portion was easy except for a thigh high river crossing. There was barely any incline on the hike. A good portion of the hike is on elevated planks due to the eroded path below it. Hiking sandals would be the best footwear here. There's a lot of water during this trip and depending on the rain, the hike could get slippery. If you're comfortable getting in the water, then this would be a great trip to pick.
