Potomac River

You'll also cruise by Alexandria, Virginia. Alexandria was first established in the 1600s by tobacco merchants from Scotland and England. Additionally, you’ll see the Torpedo Factory, pass by Admiral's Row, cruise under the famous Woodrow Wilson Bridge, view the US Naval Research Lab and more!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary this day. We felt really special when we got on the cruise to have each employee gives us good wishes. This small gesture shows care by the employees. The service was impeachable. The food selection and taste was great. The host was really entertaining and informative. We had a wonderful day with everyone. We drive from Virginia to DC just to do this cruise and it was absolutely worth it.

This was an experience I would highly recommend if you want a chance to take on beautiful scenic views along the Potomac River. The Spirit of Washington was a fantastic cruise; the ship was beautiful (very clean), the food was delicious (nice variety to select from at the buffet and well presented), fun and lively music by the DJ, great photo opportunities and very friendly staff. This will be an experience I will have terrific memories of along with my family. We had an absolutely marvelous time and highly recommend the experience; especially if you want a break from all the walking around to the museums. Sit back, relax and enjoy the Spirit of Washington cruise!

The day was picture perfect! We (30+) had a wonderful lunch and the views awesome. The staff and DJ were above and beyond! They were over the top, engaging, and entertaining. The food setup was great and selection of food awesome! The DJ did an awesome job encouraging everyone to get up and dance. Loved being on the upper decks taking in the views. Only wish the music played outside. Kudos to the staff and entertainment for making this an awesome trip to remember!
