You'll also cruise by Alexandria, Virginia. Alexandria was first established in the 1600s by tobacco merchants from Scotland and England. Additionally, you’ll see the Torpedo Factory, pass by Admiral's Row, cruise under the famous Woodrow Wilson Bridge, view the US Naval Research Lab and more!

As part of our family reunion celebration, we booked a Sunday Brunch cruise on the Spirit of Washington and I must stay we were quite disappointed. We have gone on Spirit cruises in other cities and had high expectation but was disappointed. 1) they started serving food before we left the port - normally, food is served when you leave port; 2) we were supposed to leave at 11:30; didn't leave until 12 noon; got about 1.2 mile from port and did a U turn - forgot the 1st mate; 3) Started back cruising again and the moderator was MIA; 4) we went to the bridge, made a U turn and went back to port. It was one of the worst Spirit cruises I've ever experienced; and 5) we were squeezed into a corner section when the entire section across from us was empty. Never again.

My family and I enjoyed the Spirit of Washington lunch cruise. The food was very tasty, and the entertainment was great! The staff was very courteous and professional.

I did not know that this was not a buffet cruise nonetheless, the crew treated me like loyalty. It was my birthday and they were just excellent! Made me feel really special. The tour on the GW grounds was very insightful but not enough time to take in everything. I will go back.
