What To Expect

Skagway Alaska Downtown

Meet your guide, board the comfortable vehicle and enjoy a short tour of Skagway’s historic district before climbing steeply towards the Chilkoot Mountains.

British Columbia

The dramatic scenery of the White Pass summit soon surrounds you. This is a wonderland of impressive peaks, azure lakes and stunted forests. The pace is unhurried; you will have ample time to enjoy the view with stops at choice scenic locations.

Yukon Suspension Bridge

Past the summit visit the Yukon Suspension Bridge, where you can venture out onto the bridge to get stunning views of the turbulent waters of the Tutshi River below. Learn the about Gold Rush history and the natural history of the area. Walk along the boardwalk and immerse yourself in the miniature world of alpine wildflowers.

This was a great little excursion. We were taking the train to Denali so this was a great excursion in Skagway instead of the train. Pat, our driver/tour guide, was a delight. We saw some amazing scenery along the way, learned a lot about the area and had a great traveling experience. The suspension bridge is over a beautiful river although there isn’t much besides the suspension bridge a gift shop, a snack shop and some info vignettes to walk around and see - I only say this so folks don’t expect a true hike. The owners have put a lot of money and effort into the facilities which are very nice and well maintained. The true excursion is the trip up and back. We didn’t see much in the way of wildlife although we tried! Again, Pat was fun, informative and gracious. Would recommend!

It is just like you said- a scenic drive up to the Yukon Suspension Bridge and back, with time to enjoy the facility and views at the Suspension Bridge.

Pat was a wonderful guide and make our time from the cruise ship to the to the bridge and back very informative and interesting!! Lots of photo stops to appreciate the beauty of the area I. Total!! Thank you Pat!!
