Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

Thank you Huey for the amazing afternoon for our group 6 cousins & siblings ages 12-45. Your confidence helped me relax. We all enjoyed our trip together so much! The facts about the river and the area were interesting and we enjoyed Huey being our group's leader very much. I walked away feeling like I knew a little more about the area thanks to our guide. Thanks also for the Bootleggers recommendation. It was a good, quick stop for us to pick up some local moonshine for later on too. As he is an asset to Big Creek, I hope Huey and Big Creek are a staple here for a long time! The outpost was really nice. So grateful for the helpful ladies who answered the phone, all three times we called: to make reservations, to double-check on directions and also to find out about how the outpost sold water shoes in all sizes for girls and men. The boats were really nice and the company runs a great program! We feel like we lucked out, calling the best company and getting the best guide. So glad we went!!!

Our guide Alyssa was fantastic! We were a group of 7 where only my husband and I had rafted before (about 20 years ago at that!). We had 4 kids with us aged 11-17. She immediately put us all at ease and was very knowledgeable about the area. She gave great recommendations about places to try on our vacation during the smoother parts of the trip. She told us exactly what to expect and what to do as we navigated the river. The water was cold and the day was hot so it was a perfect combo! .My 11 year old wanted to do it again!
