Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Guests will then meet their personal guide and recieve the necessary equipment Including: life jacket, helmet and paddle.
After your guide double-checks to make sure all equipment is fitted properly, guests then hop on our bus for a short 10-minute ride to the launching point for your trip.

Kayla was a great guide - new to Big Creek Expeditions but super competent and a nice guide to take us through the rapids and calm spots. Big Creek does a great job of getting everyone ready for the trip, with a very professional safety orientation. Not that the trip is dangerous, there was an eight-year old girl in front of me in the raft, and she was totally safe the whole time. Plan on three hours total, with pre-trip prep, a 1-1/2 hour time on the river, and mopping up afterwards. They have showers for before and/or after, and a really nice selection of gear in their shop. Excellent staff all around, from the guide (Kayla was great) to the main office staff who could deal with simple sales, equipment advice, to what to expect and prepare for on the float. Highly recommended, I would go back to these folks until I became competent to do the trip in my kayak (which would take about 3 years, I think). Go for it. It's safe, but also a little thrilling.

This was a wonderful experience! Our tour guide was hilarious but still informative. The scenery was beautiful and it made for one wild ride.

Evan was a great guide! Long wait for 2:30 though. Awesome shop and it looks like they were building a bathroom/shower facility. Make sure you bring shoes with a closed back.
