Wild & Scenic Loxahatchee River Guided Tour

Overview
The Loxahatchee River tour starts out narrow and twisty as it meanders its along its way downstream from Riverbend Park toward the Atlantic Ocean. The round-trip tour lasts approximately 2 hours from Riverbend Park down the river, depending on water and weather conditions. You’ll pass through an incredible cypress swamp, some sandy areas and thousands of species of plants and animals. The tour will often be under the shade of a beautiful canopy of cypress trees. Currents and water levels vary with the seasons. Portage may be necessary. Please review conditions and specific tour details with staff.

Awesome tour with a great guide who made sure we felt comfortable and had fun the entire time! We have never kayaked before and that didn’t matter. Guide also took photos for us which was an awesome bonus. Highly recommend!

We had friends visiting from Maryland for the first time and wanted to show them the "laid back" side of our area. We rented two kayaks and had a fabulous time! The scenery is beautiful, the trip tranquil, and the paddling fun! I especially appreciated that the trip to the dams is shaded which kept the temperature and overall trip very comfortable. Would highly recommend, we loved it, and my husband and I will be back regularly! I would recommend boat shoes, as your feet (and body) can get wet. Bring water too. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable.

Candace was our tour guide and she is wonderful! Very patient with inexperienced kayakers and so knowledgeable about the area. We had the fortune to watch a manatee eating around. We highly recommend this tour as a single person or as a family, you'll definitely enjoy it!
