Overview

The Loxahatchee River tour starts out narrow and twisty as it meanders its along its way downstream from Riverbend Park toward the Atlantic Ocean. The round-trip tour lasts approximately 2 hours from Riverbend Park down the river, depending on water and weather conditions. You’ll pass through an incredible cypress swamp, some sandy areas and thousands of species of plants and animals. The tour will often be under the shade of a beautiful canopy of cypress trees. Currents and water levels vary with the seasons. Portage may be necessary. Please review conditions and specific tour details with staff.

My husband & I took the 2 hour river tour with our guide Cameron and it was really fun! She was so nice and knowledgeable and patient with us since we are not experienced kayakers. There was a nice gentle current with beautiful wildlife to see along the way. We will definitely do it again when we return next year, maybe a longer trip. Highly recommend!

I took my dad, who is over 80, on a canoe ride and it worked out great! Our tour guide Jennifer was great with him, very attentive and understanding of his limitations. I'm sure he'll remember this fun and beautiful outing for a long time!

Beautiful river with a few challenging twists and turns to make kayaking fun for the whole family ages 18 - 77! Highly recommend.
