Overview

The Loxahatchee River tour starts out narrow and twisty as it meanders its along its way downstream from Riverbend Park toward the Atlantic Ocean. The round-trip tour lasts approximately 2 hours from Riverbend Park down the river, depending on water and weather conditions. You’ll pass through an incredible cypress swamp, some sandy areas and thousands of species of plants and animals. The tour will often be under the shade of a beautiful canopy of cypress trees. Currents and water levels vary with the seasons. Portage may be necessary. Please review conditions and specific tour details with staff.

Jennifer was so patient with my kids and assured that they felt comfortable before taking them on the water. When some of the kids changed their minds about going she gave me alternative suggestions like The Bush Wildlife Sanctuary while the rest of the group went on the river. Jennifer and the rest of the staff were nothing short of professional, informative, and friendly. I would without a doubt recommend this experience.

Fantastic, fun and patient guide who went above and beyond with his time, incredibly beautiful scenery showing Florida at its most magnificent. Recommend going in water shoes in case the water is low and you have to pick up the boat in a couple of places. I usually don’t leave reviews but we had such a marvelous time. 10/10 recommend!
