Overview
The Loxahatchee River tour starts out narrow and twisty as it meanders its along its way downstream from Riverbend Park toward the Atlantic Ocean. The round-trip tour lasts approximately 2 hours from Riverbend Park down the river, depending on water and weather conditions. You’ll pass through an incredible cypress swamp, some sandy areas and thousands of species of plants and animals. The tour will often be under the shade of a beautiful canopy of cypress trees. Currents and water levels vary with the seasons. Portage may be necessary. Please review conditions and specific tour details with staff.

Coming from Michigan, my boyfriend and I love kayaking especially in cool spots so this kayak trip was so great. We were in a very small group guided by Rick who was so accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. We ended up spotting an alligator, lots of fish, turtles, and various cranes and birds eating snails in the river. The weather worked for us, not too hot and not rainy. When we ended the trip about 30 minutes early due to low water levels, Rick offered for us to use the rental bikes and ride areas the trails for a bit. We checked out Headwaters, their rental property just outside of the park that is made of industrial shipping containers with all the amenities. Very awesome space there as well.
